Electrotherapy & Ultrasound to Relieve Your Pain

Electrotherapy is a type of medical treatment that utilizes electrical stimulation to relieve both acute and chronic pain.  Essentially, electrotherapy works by emitting electrical currents through electrodes that penetrate the skin and stimulate the area of pain in the tissues and muscles.  The electrical impulses help inhibit or block pain signals in the nerves reducing any pain sensation.  The stimulation of the muscles and tissues also promotes blood flow, which aids in the healing process. A specific type of electrotherapy system we offer is called the Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation or TENS unit.  The TENS unit is a portable electrotherapy system that can be used at home or on the go.  The TENS unit is comprised of a digital controller which allows you to control the intensity of the stimulation depending on the severity of the pain.  The unit also provides electrodes, 9 volt battery, and timer.
DO NOT use a TENS unit if: -       You are using a cardiac pacemaker -       You are pregnant -       You have any form of malignancy -       You have any condition where circulation is impaired -       You have any type of heart condition -       You have epilepsy or any type of nerve disorder

Ultrasound is used by chiropractors and physical therapists to treat pain, spasms and inflammation.  Sound waves promote tissue heating and blood flow to speed the recovery process and injury rehab.  Portable ultrasound units will help you live pain-free without leaving home!
Commonly used for: -      Back pain -      Knee pain -      Shoulder pain -      Heel pain -      Achilles tendonitis -      Carpal tunnel -      Calf sprain -      Plantar fasciitis -      And many other conditions that require therapeutic rehabilitation
